Education Requirements

For Kiribati, the principal applicant must have one of the following qualifications:

Required Certificates, Diplomas, and Degree

  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) at Ordinary Level(showing at least five subjects passed)
  • New Zealand University Entrance Examination (showing at least four subjects passed and 200 or more marks accumulated)
  • Pacific Senior Secondary Certificate (showing at least five subjects passed with a grade of 6 or better on a 1 [high] to 9 [low] scale)
  • Teacher Training Diploma from Tarawa Teachers College
  • Certificate or Diploma from Tarawa Technical Institute.

**No postsecondary programs are available in Kiribati.

Required Documentation for Each Degree

- Records of courses/subjects taken and grades/marks earned
- Original copy of degree, diploma, or certificate
