On September 11, 2006, during a commemoration of the tragic events five years before, Ambassador Dinger announced the art and writing contest for Fiji school children in Forms 3 and 5.
The stimulus was a strong U.S. belief that the world must overcome base issues that contribute to terrorism. We must encourage freedom and tolerance, accept the variety of religions and cultures; and foster a climate of hope and opportunity for all.
Ambassador Dinger said the winning entries accented beautifully that the ideals of freedom, justice, and opportunity are universal desires, and we all need to work together to make those desires realities.
